Project Health

New features:

  • Logging capabilities added to Sabre smart contracts 
  • BlockManager component added to Sawtooth validator to better manage chains
  • Getting RUSTY: sawadm in Rust reaches feature parity and beyond
  • Support for raw transaction headers added to transaction processor protocol, with pending additions to the SDKs in order to make use of this new feature 
  • PBFT 1.0 brings production-ready non-forking consensus to Sawtooth

Nice to see there's new consensus features!

  1. How's the scalability now? (e.g., in terms of thousands nodes)
  2. Have you evaluated or considered hotstuff (in Libra), which claims novel.

Thanks! Most of the recent consensus work focused on PBFT which is geared towards smaller networks. We have not evaluated hotstuff.
